Hello,

A friend just introduced a fuel saving device to me. Its called Panther (power with less fuel). It boasts of cutting fule by 25%, improve torque etc.

I have a MB 300CE24 and a MB190E. Please does anyone know about this product? Has it been used and is it reliable? Does it have any negative impact on the MB? The friend who introduced it uses Honda.

Please I need your opinion on this before I buy.

Many thanks in advance.

I can think of no way at all that plugging a current stabilizing device into the cigarette lighter will have any effect on fuel economy at all, whatsoever, in any way at all. Its a piece of junk! IMHO of course.

Would you trust a fuel saving device made by this person?

Please go and buy one.

Then bring it to a GTG so we can have a look at it, and hopefully crack it open to see what miraculous wonders lie inside.

If it contains anything other than two small pieces of wire going straight to a small LED, I will be amazed.

From a fuel saving forum

A Colleague of mine had “The Panther" tested recently by the Rajamangala University of Technology in Thailand, with three vehicles over a 40 km suggested test area. All returned positive results of between 3 – 5 % less fuel used to travel the 40 kms.[see attached photos and results 5,6&7] Whilst the percentages are at the lower end, the International Distributor did say that fuel in both Malaysia and Thailand is not as refined as the fuel used here in Australia or Europe and the US, hence our better results in general. Having said that, I have had some people here who feel they notice their car running smoother and quieter,(which would normally equate to better economy ) but say they haven’t seen a great improvement in their Fuel Economy so probably also on the lower end . That said, if normally a car travels for example 450 kms per tank before the light shows to fill, a worst case scenario of 3% here would mean that they still drive another 13.5 kms extra distance before they fill up anyway.

Obviously that well known authority Rajamangala University must be right

Not for the above device, but I've wondered before whether there's a market in selling a small black box with colour graduated LEDs. The box would just be an accelerometer and the more LEDs light-up the faster the car accelerates. For urban driving I think this could teach people to be a a bit smoother. I don't think I'd be making any claims for increase torque though ;)

I'll sell you one, Will.

£49.99 inc VAT. How's that? (Don't go looking inside it though...)

Make claims! It obviously sells! I'll write the marketing pitch:

Wemorgan's Cobra System:
Saves up to 24 – 36%* fuel consumption
Increases torque, horsepower, and engine response
Smoothens automatic gear transmission
Reduces engine vibration
Prevents rust!

Designed to stabilize voltage in your vehicle via Micro-Energy Optimizing Technology and a flux capacitor for maximum efficiency and power for:
Effective power distribution during loading and idling
Reduces noise in the current flow
Deepens the sound of the engine
Refined electricity flow
Increases your cars aerodynamics
Increases downforce

Just plug your Cobra into a 12v cigarette lighter socket and it starts working instantly! If you don't have a 12v cigarette lighter socket, buy the wireless kit, which uses a continuum transfunctioner to generate impulses of trans-flux energy. This means you can just leave it in the glovebox and it will still start working immediately!

Torque:
The Cobra transforms your vehicle from the inside and out. Torque delivery at a lower rev smoothens substantially enabling your car to deliver higher torque. Not only that, peak torque increase as well with noticeable difference.

Power:
Improvement of your car’s torque is not all. Cobra increases the power output of your vehicle at a lower rev as well . Power delivery is also higher at a lower rev which gives your car a better pick up.

Features:
-Micro-Energy Optimizing Technology
-British invention & engineering
-Chinese child labour to reduce production cost
-Tested & reliable
-Easy to use & install
-Light weight
-Maintenance free

Benefits
-Save fuel
-Improve drivability
-Smoothen automatic transmission
-Increase torque
-Increase horsepower
-Increase engine response
-Save the planet
-Reduce taxes
-Revives dead dolphins
-Eats oil spills

as I'm feeling kind, here's even a customer review of the item:
I was suspicious of the device, so I ordered one. Even though delivery was slow (it had to come from the factory in China), the salesteam were great. They even gave me the wireless kit for free!

I couldn't tell much of a difference with it enabled, so I sent it to The College of Fuel Studies in Nigeria; who tested it on a tractor, a barge and bicycle. They said that fuel efficiency increased 15%. Click here to see the chart they sent me.

This is a fantastic device, and I can't wait to get my hands on Wemorgan's new units; the resistor which gives me 15% more BHP and the magnet which wipes my fuel!

Sorry Michele, it might have got a flux capacitor but if it hasn't got a left-handed fluffer valve, it cannot be taken seriously...

If your car is LHD, it does not need a fluffer valve; the Cobra system adapts to your car and offers benefits over the fluffer valve!

That said, if you want a fluffer valve, for only AUS$79.98 more, Will can custom make a unit to older specifications with a left-handed fluffer valve (LHFV). Please note that the LHFV will need a left-handed torque generator.

Will is also working on a O-pipe for dual-exhaust cars... It provides 100% back pressure feedback on ALL engines!! Torque increase and kuneutson valve float brings in much lower revs so you don't hurt your motor! Not CARB Legal. Please specify standard or polished finish.
