Wick??!!

That's a bit far! Easier to pop over to Holland :)

They have also asked me to be an outlet for them too.

If anyone is interested........Pm

The Diesel Power Tuning Site is an add-on box by the sounds of it. For my car it reckons it can take me from 204BHP to 250BHP and increase torque by 80Nm.

Sounds impressive. Then they claim "These examples do clearly demonstrate though that the VMs are comfortable with the concept of increasing the power of their engines. As of course are Mercedes Benz who in the Netherlands have authorised many of their official dealer network to fit DPT units."

Anyone know if MB are happy to have these units fitted to their cars in the UK? Presumably it would affect my ServicePlus agreement if anything went wrong? I don't fancy having to pull it out everytime it goes to the garage first.

No they would not be happy and it invalidates the warranty.
Yep you'd have to pull the unit out for each garage visit.

More importantly if you haven't told your insurers you'd be in deep myther if you had a crash.

These are all the reasons why I have never bothered to have one fitted, but it is tempting. I would certainly make sure the insurers knew about it. I wouldn't want to give them any more of an excuse to wriggle out of a claim.

BTW the Star can tell if you have had a re-map too.
