Hi all! I have found that fuse 42 removal eliminates my battery drain. It states that it is for 'instrument cluster'. I have replaced the cluster but that has made no difference. I have also noticed that all front light are on even with switch off if the fuse 42 is removed. Not sure what is on circuit but need to find what is causing this drain.
Also please note i have eliminated the seat modules and heater block. It is something to do with fuse 42.

I replied to your other thread, not knowing you had started another!

You say that another cluster doesn't cure the problem...did it stop the drain when there was no cluster connected?

from what I can see, the c220 F42 feeds K25(Transmission fluid cooling fan relay motor)

Ok i've been removing the fuse (42) every night now for about 2 weeks and all has been fine. Just been out and tested the drain which now seems to drop to about 0.3 so is it possible that something has repaired itself? I also removed the relay (k25) which didnt make a difference.

If F42 is indeed transmission cooling fan I wouldnt want to remove it, but find out why the fan is draining, although perhaps you've reset the fan somehow by cutting power to it?

Yes Yugguy i agree but i need to find the drain first to know where to look. I dont even know what or where the transmission cooling fan is. How does it work? what does it do? Where do i find it to investigate?
