Garage Heating

Appreciate all the comments and expertise... thank you.

I won't be ignoring any of it I can assure you. However, I still remain a little confused on the heating issue... is it good or bad? I'm only talking about keeping the garage above freezing... not heating it like a summer house. So say around 10 deg. C. max. It seems to me this has to be kinder to the car overall than letting it freeze.

So, accepting that the dehumidifier is a necessity, what about the heating? None at all? 1 deg? 10 deg? I guess I'm trying to find out now what people consider the ideal.

Thanks,

My dehumidifier seems to chuck out warmish air in the cold so I think that would do the trick. My cars are never frozen in the garage and my doors are normal up and over, non insulated.

p.s. the one i got was the X-Dry, really good bit of kit.

The cold doesn't bother the car in the least. Have a look at cars that come from the far north of Sweden some time. It is too cold to use salt on the roads so the steel doesn't rot, the sun is weak so the trim doesn't rot. You can get 50 year old cars that look pristine.
