You'll have to ask for the update if in warranty. Mine was previously up to date apart from one specific area. This has now made a big difference as to how the mct gearbox works. Much smoother and quicker.
My personal experience is they do not apply gearbox updates by default, technician told me they only apply them if the customer is complaining of an issue, said they normally cause more trouble than they are worth and take quite some time to do.
