I had to put something here, none of my friends are particularly into cars, and I am boring them to tears on Facebook.

The garage called today, and my 2000 SLK 230 will be ready to collect on Saturday afternoon. I think I've got a good deal, it's in mint condition and has less than 30,000 miles on it.

I am just so excited!! I love driving, and I love lovely cars, I can never understand why people pay lots of money for ugly looking new cars. I'd rather have something a bit older and more stylish personally.

I am going to miss my Audi A4 cabriolet, but I think I'm going to like the SLK bettr to be honest. (No back seat for moody teens for starters).

I'm dancing like this banana..:bannana:

I sold an S4 convertible to get my CL55 AMG KOMP today, enjoy the SLK when you get it at the weekend.

Sent from my iPhone using MBClub UK

That's the right engine in a great car. Share all your stuff on here we will lap it up.

Congrats on a smashing choice.

You sound a tad excited, but only one banana?

I guess we all know what you'll be doing Saturday afternoon and Sunday.....driving, playing with it's toys, cleaning it and reading the user handbook, but not necessarily in that order.

Have you not got any pics (maybe from the for sale ad) to post up?

I'm sure you'll enjoy it. :thumb:

Mr P - my husband - has already deposited the handbook onto my desktop.

See, me having the SLK means he gets the TT (that he bought for me last year) for himself to add gadgets to and turn into the ultimate boy toy. He just passed his driving test so he could drive the TT (that he bought for me).

He's always been a die hard biker. Not any more.

You'll just have to be careful he doesn't get ideas about the SLK

My FiL has one of the very same for his weekend / holiday car - really nice piece of kit and the 230k really suits the cars character. Enjoy!

humm, yesterday, today, tomorrow.

errrr
One more.

I am counting the days for you:thumb:

Welcome. Another SLK on the forum.

How are you getting on with your SLK? I'm looking for one at the moment, can't wait to find mine

How did you get on with the neighbour who you thought was partially obstructing the road?
