Gifts From Mb Dealers

as stated in a previous thread i get a bottle of champagne and the wife gets a bouquet of flowers and i get a box of boiled sweets we the cars go in for service regards jon

Whenever I got my Vito serviced...I only got arguements and alot of lippyness for no extra cost; and extra problems after every service with them, also free of charge.

We do the champagne and flowers thing for women then champagne and normally an umbrella for the fella's.

Whenever possible why offer trackdays 90% of the time its just the guys who take any interest in them, understandable i guess.

For services its the boiled sweets and normally shampoo, interior care gunk and some other stuff i don't really pay much attention to it myself.

I thought it was a standard thing in most places since the cost is minimal anyways.

Never been given anything for guying a car (but never bought new either).

Honda gave me a car wash kit once (bit always used to leave any unused oils etc in the car which I thought was a more professional touch.

Mercedes have NOT given me back my oil filler cap once which they eventually replaced (and cleaned the bonnet liner) free of charge, but not free of hassle

When we picked my wifes used E Class 6 months ago, the dealer gave us a special MB teddybear as we are expecting a baby soon and they hid a bouquet of flowers in the boot so we would find them when we got home.

I thought it was a very nice touch.

I get the odd things now and then. Best was a brabd new set of 4 alloy wheels (since sold on eBay). The last was a limited edition set of lapel pins of all the Mercedes emblems since 1909. Never bought a car from Mercedes but I buy an awful lot of spare parts

All I got when they delivered my new Viano was an earful of whinging from the driver because it was raining and he had to get back to Milton Keynes on public transport
