Poor Olly!
Yesterday he had the pleasure of changing the gearbox oil on our newly acquired GL420 CDI - the oil coming out was not only hot, but pearlescent black (and I'm being kind); the new stuff nice and pink.
Prior to the change it did feel a little 'clunky', but now the Wife has had it for the day I can sign it off as much smoother and now without the 'clunk'. I watched Olly refilling the box and I have to say it's a horrible job on the GL!
