Glasgow Curry Evening at The Yadgar

I've seen haggis pakora but never eaten it.

Yadgar is a proper restaurant so no haggis on the menu - AFAIK

Unfortunately I have eaten haggis curry and although I love haggis it didn't work in a curry, it tasted like a very sour Rogan Josh. Haggis pakora should work though

Right I'm in the place now to book our table and favourite lamb dish. See you all tomorrow at 7.

Harry what is the special Lamb dish I need to try it one day?

Lamb karahi. You should just come eat and dash one time

I've tried to sneak away but just too tied up in work.

I'll defo try it one day though.

Glad you enjoyed the evening.

Thanks for making the efforts to come up and hope you have a great trip.

Another night of fine food in the company of friends - what's not to like ?

Top night once again , pleasure to meet Andrew.

A great evening - good food and conversation with excellent company. Nice to be able to put faces to names at last.

Also good to see members' cars - One MB, one Volvo and a hired Corsa. Still - I'm one to moan - I came by train!

The (in)famous Yadgar loo was fine, honestly.

Thanks for your hospitality, guys, I had a terrific evening.

What a great night top food, top company and good old fashioned banter. Finished off by a trip to a fantastic coffee shop (Cheers HB :thumb:)

Nice to welcome a new member to the curry club Meldrew2 and to put a face to a name, hope the weekend goes well Andrew and a pleasure to meet you.

The Lamb and Chicken Karhi were to die for succulent and tender it melted in your mouth. If you missed this one don't miss our next meet this is by far the best curry in the UK by a mile :bannana:

We even sorted out what my new toy is going to be so check out that thread :thumb:

Subjects this time ranged from Vegas shows and hotels to Hello Kitty ;)

Top night guys looking forward to the next one already :D

Are we up for another night? I'm going to be in USA in the back of beyond and out of internet or mobile contact until 13th October so what about week after that when I'm back? Could the regulars keep me updated via email please as will have the occasional sat link to the internet for email only, cheers.

Sounds good for me.

Ian, can you PM me your email address ?

Done :-)

Cheers Ian

Sounds good. Faisal gets married on Oct 12 so I'm free after that too.

Shall we pencil in Thursday 23rd October as a provisional date ?

I'm off till 21st - so I might be able to make 23rd.

Not stopping at the Travelodge if I can avoid it - there must be a better hotel. #79 plus an extra #10 to check in at 2pm! Has anyone tried the Jury's Inn near the station?

Hmmm - it's not a boozy night - shall I drive up and drive home same night? It is a car forum after all… 200 miles, 3 hours. Hmmm. Long journeys do tire me, but a night run with no traffic jams could be nice.
