GLC 250d vs 350d

The Diesel car that I owned didn't have AdBlue, but reading others' comments on here it seems that repair bills can run into 4 figures (though specialists are often cheaper than dealers).
OK, with you, thanks for that.

I've not seen any comments about common problems with AdBlue diesels - is there anything in particular I should be concerned about?

Seems mostly related to the AdBlue tank, and various sensors:

That said, I don't know if the GLC350d and GLC250d are actually affected - others might know. In any event, It shouldn't be a worry as long as the MB warranty is renewed annually.

As said, my last Diesel car didn't have AdBlue, so I have no personal experience with it. I do like the GLC, but at this point I think I might go straight for the EQC (which has the same body), skipping both the Diesel and Petrol versions. But obviously if you're planning on regular long drives then Diesel still offers the best range and economy, at which point Diesel car with MB warranty might be the best compromise.

Thanks JBD, appreciate the advice.

Funnily enough I've been looking into the Airmatic / Air Body Control, but it seems to be a rarely added option on the GLC.
It was standard for quite a while on the 350d and really pairs up well with the smoother V6 engine. That’s where my money would go

My mum had a 250d P+ with airmatic and has a facelift 300d Ultimate now and she’s been very happy with the airmatic system on both.

Thanks JBD, fountain of knowledge! Everything I've read / seen about the air suspension has been good, so would be nice to get one with it if I can find one.

I've dug out a few old brochures, but can't see when the air suspension was standard on the 350d - any idea on model years? Thanks so much for the tips 👍
