Good Indy Near Potters Bar J24 M25?

Can anyone recommend a good indy to do some work on my R129 SL60 AMG? Nice and close to Potters Bar Junction 24 M25 would be great.

Oakmere Cars in Potters Bar sell a lot of Merc's. I was once in there looking at a couple. I asked them who they recommended for servicing. hey suggested someone who had a STAR and apparently was excellent...but i can't remember the name!

I suggest you phone them and ask. Oh, and do report back.

Oakmere Cars now service their own stuff apparently. Stay well away though unless you have something bog standard and easy. They had my car for two days to diagnose a fault. I had to call them at 4.30pm after two days as they still hadn't called me to say what the fault was and how much it would be. I collected the car on Saturday morning....no charge but in all fairness they hadn't actually done anything. I am sure they would be fine if you want a lubrication service or an MOT but anything more complex and I would advise against it.

I have called Paul Evans as my dad used to use him years ago on his Mercs. He is going to look at it tomorrow for me. I will let you know.

Thanks Ethem. I used to use Whiterose many moons ago as lived 2 mins round the corner in Lakenheath. Moved to Potters Bar now but still not a million miles away. Is Andy still the manager there?

I got the impression that they looked at all cars really though. I was looking for a Merc specialist and hopefully one with lots of R129 experience. If I'm lucky I might even get someone who has seen an SL60 AMG before which would be nice but I guess not essential.

Sorry about that, i feel somewhat responsible! Shame they wouldn't tell you who they used to use, as by the sounds of it they were spot on.

Hope that other bloke sorts it out, but would be good to find someone with a STAR machine.

PC Merc Centre in East London are good. Used them for many years for my w202. Good for spare parts too.. Will be of interest to you Rossyl

Current car under merc warranty and having probs already..miss using them..however ask them to check cars over..
