Group remap in Scotland/borders

3 or more people to get and i can start polling locations for 2 groups. We would be £150 each unless any specific work needs done on any cars at which point that person would have to foot their own extra costs for the remap. Might be worth checking that your car is remappable.

@Andyg0141 - Could you stick your location into the list above so that i can see where you are based for deciding on the locations please mate?

I have Paul's mobile number if anyone needs to contact him for anything. Main point of contact for Angel though is Nigel and it is probably better to query him with regards to checking your cars "mappability".

Hopefully we can get the extra 3 or so people and the existing names confirmed and make some headway with this.

That's great. Yea any makes of cars will do as long as they can be remapped. I cant help with this one as my last (and first) car was a rover 25 and there isnt any remaps that i know of for rovers.

@Adam - unfortunately there wont be a location for this group remap south of the borders. There was one done at the start of april down south and this one im sorting was to cater for all the members up north (and any like yourself that want to come up) that coulsnt or didnt want to try travel all the way down south. Your more than welcome to come along to this one when we sort a date but it will more than likely be glasgow and fife based.

Specifically in Glasgow well ill ask Paul and see if he prefers anywhere specific. If hes not bothered ill leave it up to the Glasgow guys as to where they would prefer to meet.

Im going to give Paul another call tomorrow as i missed him today. Find out best locations from him and poll them on a second thread. Ill also ask how much we will be if we only have 8 cars so if we all want we can go ahead with the people already on the list.

Right so i have managed to speak to Paul today and have the following points to make:

If we dont get anymore names we will have 8 confirmed for this group remap. I have asked him to see what the best price he can do for only 8. Hopefully he will be able to give as close to £150 as he can get.

Dates: As for the date we have suggested the weekend of the 4th and 5th of June. This gives us 3 and a bit weeks to get deposits in and confirm all the details. As it stands, going on the locations of the 8 people interested at the moment, Paul has agreed to potentially do the 5 Glasgow-based cars in Glasgow on the Saturday as it will be easier to get some of his collegues to help him on a saturday. This leaves the remaining 3 cars as being myself, mmerc and Alex to get done in Edinburgh on the Sunday. This helps Paul as having only 3 cars on the Sunday means he wont need any backup technicians as he will be able to do all 3 himself.

Locations: For the locations Paul has advised that normally supermarket car parks are best as they have plenty of space for moving about and means if you are being your other half with you, they can do their shopping while your with your car. I have suggested to Paul that he comes up with a supermarket location somewhere in Glasgow for the people that will go to that one and I can arrange something for the Edinburgh group - im open to suggestions for this one. I was thinking IKEA or something?

Upgrades - Paul has said that he can sort out a price for ITG performance panel filters for anybody that wants to get them fitted on the day as part of the remap. Naturally the extra cost will be down to the individual if you want to do this. If anyone is interested in this give Paul a fone and ask about prices. His number is 07957286090.
