Morning all,
Seem to be having a slight issue with my hand brake as in it doesnt seem to be releasing fully on its own when pulling the lever, have to physically get my foot behind the pedal and lift it to fully release. Any tips or handy hints?
Thanks

If you have a W203 2000 - 2007 C Class, remove the back seat cushion and the sound insulation which is under the cushion and remove the small metal plate to access the parking brake mechanism where the cable from the pedal is attached to the cables to the wheels. Lubricate the mechanism and the accessible ends parts of the cables. Apply and release the brake several times and lubricate again until it works freely. Also lubricate the pedal mechanism with a spray type lubricant.

Shot of the under seat mechanism showing the three cables. Ignore the arrow in the pic.

Cheers for that, will investigate sometime this week and let you know.
Thanks
