Yep let us know how you get on. I'll be interested to hear how it goes as a friend of mine has just bought a CLK with indentical wheels that could do with refurbing :)

I wasn't 100% happy last year but apparantly that wasn't representative of their normal quality?

There is a Black 350 Z just round the corner from me with gold centred wheels, looks great IMO not sure with Burgundy though...

Before everyone goes off alarming about BJV , there were only a couple of scare stories ...

We've seen before on this forum how a couple of bad reviews can damage a business.

I'm prepared to give them a go . Will report back.

Please do Howard. The lacquer is lifting on mine, and their prices look good. Looking forward to your feedback. :)

Oh, I voted silver BTW. ;)

The lacquer will always lift, because it can't grip the polished surface.

A painted finish is a lot more durable.

I know, but at that price it's worth doing even if it only lasts a couple of years. The rim looks lots nicer polished than with a painted finish.

I agree. You can have just the lips redone. I wonder how they would look if the lips were done in chrome paint.

incase it's of help to anyone, Pureklas of coventry have a very good reputation. I've seen his work on Detailing World and also a friend's car. It is nothing short of stunning. Any finish you like, mirror polished, chromed, gold plated, powder coated etc. He also has a new sparkley powder coat in silver which looks fantastic in direct sunlight.

Mine are off there later this week for the full works. I'll try and remember to post some pics up when they come back.

Oh, and remember, always - do you hear me? ALWAYS cover them in at least 2 coats of sealant once a year to protect that lovely finish. Front and back. Poorboys or Chemical Guys are great products. And never, I say NEVER wash them in fairy liquid, cillit bang etc or acid based wheel cleaners. (wonder wheels etc.) BANG, and the lacquer is gone.

Bilberry safe wheel cleaner is ace at removing brake dust and won't harm your wheels. About 25 quid for 5 litres which dilutes to 25 litres for normal usage.

I'd say go for the gunmetal finish but not gold on that wheel / car combination.

God you're tiresome Sweeney ...

Still got a bee in your bonnet ?

Why don't you post something constructive as opposed to your usual 'try to wind everyone up' style ....

An endorsement of your taste and style is surely constructive, Howard.

Anyway I'd thought you'd be in a good mood today having saved a fiver yesterday :)

Yawn ....

You're good at manipulating what people say aren't you ?

No point in paying over the odds for something is there ? we aren't all made of money .... ;)

Mind me asking how much it's costing? They're not too far from me either. :)

Howard, you have unearthed my peccadillo... I can't resist the entertainment that this place and certain posters provide... :o

If you do opt for gold... and I back your decision either way, remember to spray your £4.70 dustcaps :bannana:
