Hazards flashing, siren silent????

Hi Folks

Any help I can get on the following condition would be gratefully appreciated.

The wife's 05 plate C180K has started flashing it's hazards for no apparent reason when left locked but the alarm siren remains silent. When the condition occured last nIght while sat on the drive I went out and opened the door with the key as opposed to the remote and the alarm siren sounded. Locked the car back up with the remote and within half hour the hazards started flashing again but the siren had not gone off.

I have made sure all the air vents are closed and removed her bloody air fresheners hangin off the rear veiw mirror but without success, there are no spiders, creepy crawlies etc in the car so can anyone shed any light on the problem please??

I expect the siren is faulty

+1 for the siren my car armed okay but alarm didn't sound when I tried it a new plug and play siren all is well

+1 it will start getting worse and you risk it going off in the night. Common problem as the alarms battery is on the way out
