Hello! I was wondering: the head gasket is made from what? Metal? Ruber? Plastic? Cork...

aluminium alloy or something like that. definitely metal

They are made of sintered cardboard/paper materiel with steel compression rings to withstand the cylinder firing pressure.

Lancia were using copper/asbestos from the 1920's until the early 1960's when they changed over to the composite type.

Copper Asbestos gaskets need several retorques before the gasket is fully gas tight.

Head gaskets generally don't just fail, there is usually an underlying cause and gasket will keep failing until the cause is found and fixed. Regard HG failure as a symptom of another problem rather than a problem in its own right.
