Hi im new to all this...have been looking at a few people forum and was thinking if anybody out thete can shine a bit of light on my c230k .the car starts , runs and ticks over perfect. There is no engine light.When I do kickdown she chocks at about 4000 rev then goes again..or when im steady picking up speed she sometime looses a bit of power as if the supercharger has cut out.and if I still try to puch the gas down nothing happens just sit at the same speed.the only way I can pick the speed up again is to use the trip tonic and manually down shift..I love this car , but tbis problem is driving me nuts ..done a diagnostic snd sait it was the throttle controller so I changed it but same thing happened. ....Help
 
WOW..with all the talent on this forum that i have read .and there aint one person has got any idea what could be wrong with my car.....thats special...lol
 
It sounds like you need to get it diagnosed correctly using a STAR.. not just a generic code reader.

It does sound a bit like the ignition isn't advancing but I'm guessing... It needs proper STAR diagnosis.

Which area are you from, maybe someone can recommend a good independent.
 
Sounds like the MAF,get it plugged into star at a specialist though.

A couple of tips, possibly hold back on the negative and sarcastic comments if you want help and also try putting a more descriptive header on your post.

Putting "headache" provides no insight to what it is you are seeking help for so perhaps most people just passed it by?
 
You probably have the electronic throttle- you said have changed the throttle body?? [ the receiver end] you need to check the " sender" end= the bit that's attached to the accelerator pedal.
Could be a lot of things--- the Maf, breakdown of the ignition coils/leads, a sticking inlet cam advance mechanism, best to get on a Star diagnostic machine as has been suggested.
 
I thought this thread was going to about aspirin.

I've found a cup of hot, sweet, weak tea to be efficacious in treating headaches. Dunno why.
 
We had a C230K in with the same issue about 2 years ago.
It was the MAF in the end, but so many other things were "fixed" in the mean time I would say that would be it 100%.

A good code read is needed.
 
thanks guys for all the advice will get a star test hopefully i can get it sorted ,dont really want to get rid of the car....dsm10000 was not meant to be sarcasem, it was banta ....but point taken on the headache........neilrr... now thats sarcasem...lol...
 
Thanks for all the help...got it pluged in to a star said it was the actuator but it ended up being the maf....thanks guys.....
