headlight wipers??

hi on my w124 i havent got the headlight wipers just wondering how hard it is to plumb them in???? also washer jets if required???? cheers chris

Mercedes did do a retro fit kit, but it is a bit involved wiring wise, plus you'll need to change the under headlight panels.

You don't have to change the panels, just drill holes through were required. I have a pair of headlights complete with the wiper motors if your interested

Pricewise I'm looking for £85 posted for the two headlights and the wiper arms.

Just for reference the wiper arms are about £25 each from MB.

Hi,
Those headlights won,t fit a C class W202, Also be careful if you buy some UK spec headlights as there are two different types of headlights, they changed approx, 1997, you can distinguish them by the number of covers on the back of the light if it has two round bulb covers it is the later type, a single cover indicates the earlier type.

What a bummer, my lights are on a 1997 c class 180 estate i believe theat over here they call it a T202 so iam still running on my continental's i have adjusted them as far as i can so they don't cause probs to other drivers andit does pass its MOT with them so cant be all out; my mecho in Holland did tell me that they did make some models with a sort of lever, just under the slam plate on top of the light unit, you could change from left hand to right hand at a flick of this lever. MB say they can't find them here. Ah well just have to keep shoving the wife out and giving them a clean. Ian

Hi Richard,

they will be but not just yet. I'm just sourcing some new tyres for them at the mo, got a pair for the front and waiting for a pair for the wider rears. Then I'm going to have my OZ's refurbed. The original plan was to just stand the car on the spare wheels (the tyres are shot) but as the weather is so nice at the mo I didn't want to not be able to use the SL.

Are you in a hurry for them?

Hi Leigh no particular hurry,i have just purchased a stolen recovered sl500 96 model off e bay,which i have to do a few jobs,source some headlamps,bit of paint,replace the lowered springs with originals etc so have enough to keep me occupied for the mo,but please bare me in mind when you want to sell [ any idea when you might want to sell? ]
