Any ideas why my electric passenger H#headrest wont move up and down anymore?? Its stuck in the fully extended postion and looks like my passeneger is Herman Munster...

Any ideas??

What car is it in? My c124 headrest occasionally sticks. If i push the button down and giv ethe headrest a "helping hand" it goes down again. Only sticks if i FULLY extend the thing up (which I dont do know!)

Young man.... havnt been called that in years!! thx TV.... 03 CLK guys... tried the gentle approach whilst pressing button....

Try resetting the seat, by using the power button to slide fully forward, then fully back again, worth trying a couple of times possibly.

Reset procedure should be in the handbook as well.

Fuses??? Does it have multiple fuses for the seat? all other adjustments work...

All fixed... just pulled all plugs and re-seated... pull headrest up and out of seat and re-seated... all works now....

Cheers all...

i have just noticed my headrest on my r129 is not working either (passenger side) (WBD129067), i can hear the motor inside the chair making noise but nothing happens, i checked manual for reset procedure but could not find one, fuses are all okay too, where abouts would i find the cables to unplug and replug or would anyone know of a reset procedure for this car (from 1996 btw)

Hi,

What I did with mine was to completely take the headrest out of the seat, take the headrest motor to the top and if you can remove the headrest.. I know its not powered but try and get it out.... When out make sure the motor is at the top most setting and re-insert you headrest pushing down until you hear a click.. The headrest should now be back on the motor and work ( well mine did)!!!!

As for plus.. I just unplugged everything to the seat and re-seated everything...

Good Luck..

Just bought an 03 CLK5, having the same problem with the drivers headrest. so will use the tips as above.
I used this forum when I had my C270CDi, the search function helped me MANY times as niggling faults cropped up, the info & tips supplied probably saved much time & money tracking faults & visiting main MB stealer.
What i'm getting at is that it's never to late to respond to sorted questions.
Thanks in advance, more elec gadgets mean I will probably be asking for more help in the future
