Heads up Lidl Car Stuff...

I can recommend the battery charger - bought one a few years ago and it's been a really handy thing to have.

Does anyone know if the battery charger is like a ctek maintenance charger, can it be left connected permanently ?

The torch looks good - £7.99, aluminium body and including batteries!

Yes, I have used one through the winter months for a couple of years now.

Axel stands for me too that wheel refurb is getting closer now!
Thanks for the heads up.

Tony.

3 year warranty too, looks like great value!

Those battery chargers are very good and excellent value.

I have used one for a couple of years and it's been great.

Only point of note - if you have a very heavily discharged battery then it may not cope unless you trick it first - I had an almost dead 12v battery and IIRC it either thought it was a 6v motorbike battery or would not charge. I managed to connect in parallel another 12v battery for a few minutes until it started to charge and then it worked as you'd expect.

Just in time for winter - well worth the money if you haven't got one :thumb:

+1 on the charger. Bought one 2 years ago.
Although I have a big snap on battery charger, this does the job for a fraction of the price if you trick it as will suggests. It's slow to charge a discharged battery but it's perfect for maintaining batteries!
3 modes IIRC, 6V charge, 12V charge and "winter" i.e. maintain.
I usually cycle it between my motorbike and the CL, neither of which see the road much or at all during the winter months.

I already have a CTEK (which cost £40), just bought one as a back up..at that price looks a steal

PS. when I told my bro-in-law about it he wanted one too...so ended up buying another lol

I managed to get the Trolley Jack and Axle stands yesterday and changed my first wheel today :) Thanks for the headsup IanA2.

Another big thanks
I have always missed getting the charger, but I managed to get one this time.
Will put it to good use over the winter on the bike.

We came away wheel trims and roof bars. Very useful

The roof bars I have just bought from lidl fit my 210 estate perfectly , I don't intend to carry mega loads but am moving house at the moment so good timing lidl.

I too have the almost identical Ctek RRP £40 i paid £30 in a deal buying a battery - i also just bought the Lidl variety as back up - They are quickly snapped up at many stores went to Openshaw Manchester SOLD out went to Broadway Manchester and they had a dozen but had sold out of Handy windscreen cleaning wands.
