Dear all,

I have asked this question before but didn't quite get the right answer.

I want to find out if the heaters are working. If no power is going to the heater, then where should I been checking - fuse or connector and where?

Thanks.

As far as I'm aware, the heaters are thermostatically controlled, so won't come on while the car is warm anyway. Not sure at what temp they will come on at, but 8C rings a bell. How you check them in the summer, I'm not sure, but there must be a way. If you're certain they should be coming on, I'd check the fuse first and then go from there.

I checked the jets last winter.
I have also checked the fuse and can't find any fuse that is specifically for that. Traced the cable and it seem to bury itself under the ECU. If it involves taking the ECU out then I will probably stop there.
Any other ideas?

only way ive really found to check them is on really cold mornings you can see the frost melt around them.

I have tried it when it was frosty last winter but no, nothing melted around the washer jet:mad:

Have you pulled the jet off and checked the connections? They get mucky.

Do you have a multimeter with which to measure the voltage across the jets?

Is it the heated washer jets you have on your car? Or is it the heated washers, which is the water tank heater, not the jets.

if the car has heated washer jets, it will also have a heated washer tank and heated lines.

But not always the other way round surely?

It is actually connected to the rear fuse box so check the fuse chart. There is a heater coil in water reserve.

I have checked it over the weekend.
There is a thermostat on the bonnet which is used to turn the heater on and off. I took it off and checked out the connectivity both warm and cold ( 30 minutes in the fridge.) There is no current going through, so it may be this I need to replace. There is current on the feed terminal.
The part number if interested is 1268201111.
Only the jets are heated but not the line/tank.
