Not always
While out in the car the other day , I noticed the reading on my OTG and snapped the following at a set of traffic lights . Warm , even for Sunny Scotland :D

Can anyone beat that temperature ( in the UK ) ?

Not bad for sunny Paisley a couple of years ago , especially at 18:00.

Mine hit 29.5 in sunny Wales the other day. My outdoor temp sensor at home hit 35.4 later that day.

My reading above was in Uddingston , and the highest I've ever seen in my car .

Being Paisley there was a probably a burning car or building close by which upped the ambient temp somewhat.

Hi,
Had this in the shade yesterday afternoon, when collecting son from school!

Mind you - that was in Abu Dhabi
Cheers

Reminds me of the hottest day ever in the UK 2003 (38.7degrees
In the shade!) when I stopped the car on the A3 at Wisley - where the temp was recorded that day. Could you tell the people in cars / vans / lorries without AC!

Ah , the (in)famous Feegie. Not as bad as it used to be around the 70`s - 80`s but still making the headlines.

Ferguslie Park named as Scotland's most deprived area - BBC News

I went to the BB at the West End of the town (King Street) and there were lots of members from Ferguslie Park. Handy chaps to have around when it all kicked off at the BB football matches.

The BB captain was a chap called Alex Foulds , who was one of the heroes of the Glen Cinema disaster. He saved a few kids by rescuing them from one of the upper windows , something that he never spoke openly about for a very long time , which is understandable.
