Hello people - been on the MBOA forums for some time and have to admit didnt really know about this......

Have posted some pics in the gallery. Those of you who frequent the MBOA as well may remember it and the wheel saga !!!!

When I got the car it had an AMG badge on one side of the boot lid and a kompressor badge on the other !!!

didnt want to be a fake so took them off.

Then when speaking to the dealer who originally supplied the car found out that the body kit was infact AMG stuff and was fitted on delivery.

So could probably get away with the AMG badge.

Looking for some AMG wheels at the moment

The bodykit isn't AMG. AMG bodystyling is complete replacement bumpers, if it were AMG bodystyling then it would look like this:

Still looks tidy though, probably some european tuner lower-bumper lips and sideskirts.

I didnt think it was AMG either but was told it was an AMG kit specifically for after market fitment, not dealer or AMG fit. I have a picture from a 1994 magazine showing a kit which if isnt the same is very similar - that was AMG.

Personally I thought it looked more like a Zender kit but dont know if they did merc stuff.


To be honest Im not that bothered what the kit is ! - just going off what I was told by the dealer - Just happy that its quite a subtle kit, not too over the top.
