Help me identify these connectors

I found these in the boot of the car today, must have been left by the previous owner. Does anybody know what they are and if they should be fitted to the car somewhere? For scale, the twin wires are approx 60mm long.

The red rings seem to be a seal or O ring type affair. Maybe a sensor of some kind?

Brake pad wear sensors.

Thanks DM, the car had new pads on just before I bought it. I guess they replaced the sensor at the same time or maybe got cheap pads with no sensor seeing as the car was being sold.

They look like the old, but still serviceable sensors, they probably fitted new sensors with the new pads.
