Help please! Contaminated Fuel 2021 E300 Coupe

Fascinated to know the outcome, but amazed how many people think/infer the dealer may have sabotaged it...

Virtually all dealerships are franchises, if an engine blows up under warranty and they need to replace it, they don't care if Mercedes warranty pay for it or the customer pays for it. If anything they they would prefer the warranty, as it keeps you, the customer, happy. Happy customer = repeat business.

You can't totally rule out false analysis/sample mix up for the contamination results, but this isn't some big conspiracy by MB dealerships.

We have seen many posts where the OP's have in depth described their problems, many have replied with detailed knowledge and great interest. The posts have gone on for many pages with members spending time and effort to help with resolving issues, it then just ends with an unknown outcome.
Maybe the admin should issue a fine.

A. The wife did it.
B. The dealer was telling fibs.
C. The engine just broke for no reason (oil pump)
E. The fuel station had contaminated petrol.
Answers on a postcode please.

The thing is, than even if the fuel was indeed found to be contaminated, it could still be a red herring... I.e. the engine may have failed due to another, unrelated, fault. The probability of these two issues co-occurring isn't high, granted, but it isn't nil either. And, when it comes to a four-figure damage estimate, no stone should remain unturned when trying to determine who should be picking-up the bill.

Quite an imaginative troll, if it was one! Passed a few hours though.

On re-reading the first post, it does read a bit like an exam question!

Possibly didn’t get the answer they were looking for. Must be pretty gutting to have wrecked the engine on a new car. If the diesel was added by the other half, very difficult conversation to have.

Don't think we are going to get to hear the outcome of this one anytime soon. The silence does point to the OP discovering the worst, in that the problem is firmly at his feet with a huge bill ensuing, not to mention the divorce cost's.

Bit of a shame there is no follow up from the OP despite them being on the forum only yesterday.

My guess is the op has been rubbed out by the phantom diesel filler, hes pushing up the daisies.

Any news ?
We are all dying to know.
