Hello! Newbie here!!

Im really hoping someone can help. I have developed a nasty creak/squeak noise coming front the front right wheel area. Sounds like plastic/rubber rubbing together.

Its only when going under 5 mph and is only when I turn the wheel right. Its not only on full lock either, it can be at any point in the turn. I can feel it vibrating through the brake pedal as well, dont know if thats relevant.

I have checked the power steering oil level and its fine.

I also jacked the car up and took a photo and can see there might be a small oil leak in the middle of the front wheels, see attached photo. I tried to get the wheel off to check for obvious things but the wheel was seized on, but did manage to get a photo and it looks ok from what I can see, see below.

Any ideas guys? Any help much appreciated!!

OK great thanks, I will check the roll bar asap.

Sorry for the newb question, but is there a good trick of getting a stuck on wheel off without resorting to whacking it hard with a hammer? I dont want to wobble it too much either as its only on a single jack...

I use a rubber headed mallet and hit the tyre at various points. Seems to work. I have seen tyre fitters just kick the tyre very hard. Before putting it back on put some copper grease on the hub. That will stop it happening again.

Is the oil leak in the 1st picture anything to be concerned about? I have a specialist near my house so might be safe than sorry and get him to have a looksie...

Thanks for the help chaps...

Looks like main rear seal, part is cheap the labour is not, its a very common problem. I would not worry to much its does not look like it is leaking to much.

Loosen the wheel bolts half a turn each, and run the car slowly forward and back a few yards. If that doesn't work, loosen another half-turn and do it again. Use anti-seize compound on the mating faces of the hub and wheel before reassembly to prevent it seizing on again.

Yes..
Use a spare wheel to roll hard into the tyre of the wheel that's stuck on..
Remember you need to roll the wheel into the tyre and not the metal of the wheel because your to strike as far from the centre as you can (leverage).

Looks like it's the lower suspension arm, being replaced tomorrow. Thanks for the help guys

Advice to anyone who has the same issue as me with this, get the other side done at the same time, just a few weeks later and it's back in the garage getting the opposite arm replaced :-)
