Hi All - Newbie who works for MB

Not open for further replies.
there is a huge market out there that dealers aren't getting onto...
whats scared most dealers away from the internet is those employee's who have been selling old stock / warranty parts on e-bay... I heard a rumour that someone from DCUK was investigating some dealers due to this hence most delaers would rather steer well clear of anything to do with the internet.

I on the other hand fully intend on offering some parts on here that have been hanging round the stores for too long but it will be done properly with an official main dealer invoice and prices will be as low as I can get them i.e. at cost.

welcome Jay73 its nice to have a MB dealer on board :) one question...
on a 1998 C250 TD, has there ever been any known problems with the MAF? seems everyone i talk to has either replaced it or cleaned it, except me :S
I dont think a c250 has a MAF sensor, well mine hasnt. Are you getting confused with the sensor near the radiator (air sensor) approx £14

Nice to hear of parts at genuinely low prices, top job.:bannana:

I suspect dealers also steer clear of internet parts sales as they want "punters" to not have too ready access to parts so that cars go into the workshop.

What you describe is the coolant temperature sensor located at the nearside rear end of the cylinder head. The "constant injection" refers the BOSCH CIS-E (KE111) system on these cars which continuously injects fuel into the inlet manifold unlike the later "LH-SFI" or "HFM-SFI" Type systems which inject fuel via each cylinder injector separately. Its one of the sensors the injection system uses to modify the engine fuel supply.Sorry dont have the part no but dealer will have got you the correct part via the chassis number.
Hi Graeme

Thanks, Would this affect the running of the car when cold etc?

Ady

Cold Running Would Be Affected Yes.

Pretty certain it would yes since the ECU uses the signal from the temperature sensor to enrich the mixture via the electro-hydraulic pressure actuator(EHPA) during the engine warm up phase. The EPHA is the black unit with electrical connections bolted to the side of the fuel distributer body.

Welcome.

Hi,

I hope we can help you sometimes!!

A question for you if you have time! Will A 203 490 41 21 fit Wdc2030462 and how much is it? Thanks in advance:)

nav - I need a vin number (p.m. it too me) theres 3 250D variants dependent on year with or without cat etc...
for an idea though?? non cat front pipe £85 cat front pipe £234.... pointless me pricing unless I've got a vin number
and the 208..
There isn't anything that pushes the boot up?? All that happens is the lock disengages its the pressure in the gas springs that open it??
the pin bush numbers don't work like that on the EPC computer system, unfotunately I can only work of MA digit numbers i.e. A2033300053..
sorry!!

jdrrco
What in 16" or 17"??? or both

8jx16" £153.83 each + v.a.t. (retail)
8.5jx17" £164.32 each + v.a.t. (retail)

Shock horror I have a set in stock that I've just found out were ordered in error and are now surplus to requirements.

got 2x16" fronts and 2x17" rear

If you want them I can do them at:

8jx16" £120 each + v.a.t. (my price)
8.5jx17" £135 each + v.a.t. (my price)

I only have the one set !!! You would get a proper main dealer invoice etc..

R2D2

No that number isn't valid for that chassis number but it costs £209.45 retail...
its not a fast moving part either DCUK sold 2 in the last 12 months and its a special order from germany...
can't tell you what it fits unfortunately as the computer system won't work backwards from part number I have to have a vin 1st??

Welcome and what a nice pleasure to have a knowledgeable part specialist on the forum. So far I have been buying a few parts when I was abroad as it was much much cheaper but I might come back now...

Could I have a price and availability please for:

A124 440 87 10: towbar wiring kit
A000 315 11 71: towbar bolts&nuts

Thanks
