High Mileage 210's

Having previously run a couple of 124's with over 400K on them, I'm wondering what high mileages people are running 210's to?

About to buy one with 180K on the clock - with the right tlc will I be able to double this?

My F-I-L has a 2002 W210 E320 CDI with 200k miles on and besides a couple of rust spots, it's a cracking car, so good that he got offered £500 more than he paid for it a year ago and he refused!

Jumped into an 8 year old E220 Taxi yesterday (W210?) in immaculate nick.

Approaching 700,000 kms.

I had a 2001 W210 E220cdi Avantgarde, it was great car, really comfy, bit floaty round corners but solid, had all the rust done, and front suspension cross member changed by MB...sold it with 125k on clock, ran like a dream, circa 60mpg on a long run...wish I would have kept it as a runner....

If it doesn't rust away I reckon they can run for many miles...see link still going at 300k

My old 97 w210 had done 700000 miles when I sold it

The following all in miles and all been in our family.
320cdi - 690, 000
220cdi - 410, 000
300td estate - 520, 000
320cdi estate - 385, 000

All picked up for peanuts as no one else would touch them for this mileage. 2 of them drove perfectly, almost as new. The other 2 drove well with the odd clunk or gearbox slip...
