Hmm - Bought WIS off eBay....

Hi All,

Bought a copy of WIS from ebay to help me out a little - Although I can get WIS to install. EPC will not work at all...comes up with CRC errors. Anyone know of any software utility to correct CRC problems?

Wouldn't bother, you can buy EPC access for almost no money at all from Daimler AG - Service & Parts net and have it legally and up to date.

Workshop Information System, and Electronic Parts Catalogue.

They are the systems that M-B dealerships use ... covering all the maintenance & fault-finding processes for our cars. A bit like an electronic Haynes manual for all Mercs

Better to have access to WIS through the Merc club, that way, once you have the right bit, you can look up how to fit it too

yea just had a look at the price for WIS!!!, EPC is probably what i need but then again i can use the russian sites for that..

WIS is included in membership for not much more than the price of EPC on the direct site.... only about £35-40 a year... and great mag too...

When you join you get a card sent from Germany, this allows you to logon to the German offical site and access WIS and EPC there... ( in English )...

there were instructions on one of the old issues of the Gazette that was sent out but the online help is quite good.

( it can take a few weeks for the card to arrive )
