Hood Leak?

CLK320 Cabriolet
Hi, I drove my CLK320 W209 in the rain for the very first time today, and there seems to be a very minor leak! Basically the odd drop of rainwater falls on my right arm, it appears to be coming from the exact spot where the hood meets the top of the windscreen surround. Is this to be expected?

The fabric itself needs re-proofing as the water is not beading off but soaking in, could this alone be the cause, or is it something more sinister? Should I look for a damaged rubber trim/seal, or could the hood be showing the first signs of problems?

Many thanks in advance.

Leaking roof

Hi,

I've just posted a reply as i had the exact same thing over the past year that I've had my CLK convertible. I cleaned the roof with autoglym cleaner & reproofed it with Fabsil (camping waterproofer) and its not let a drop of water in since, even thru all the downpours we've had. I also regularly lubricate the rubber seals around the windows/roof to keep them supple,

Hope this helps.........Kertir.

Many thanks Kertir. I have already purchased a cleaning and proofing kit, I just need the bloody weather to dry up so that I can apply it!
