The dealer where I bought my car has been keeping me hanging on for a repair for 2 months. The central locking on my W220 was not working when I bought it. I even pointed it out to him before I had the test drive but I was assured it would be fixed.
He's had the car for two weeks now and I phoned to find out where it was. He told me that he's getting it fixed under the 12 month warranty that he put on it when I bought it.
It states very clearly in warranties that they will not pay for any pre-existing faults.
I can't believe he'd stoop so low. Apart from defrauding the warranty company it could cause problems for me later if I make a genuine claim. I'm sure they will only pay out so many times.
When I get it back and it's working should I report him?
