How long do you spend cleaning your car?

My Jag was professionally detailed and ceramic coated after I bought it last October and had the bumpers etc, resprayed to look like new. Thankfully, the money spent means it only takes about 2 hours to get all the gear out, wash and dry it and put it all away again. With ceramic coating you are limited to putting more time in on it, once a month I give it a top up with cquartz liquid sealant which restores a little more brilliance to the paint.

The CL will probably just get a coat of SRP and Colinite as it won't move much anyway. The Jag is my main car so it gets pampered. lol

My time spent washing car & van varies massively. I can give them a quick wash within the hour or a full day on just one of them. The weather inspires me to put a full day in. Music on, daughter playing in garden, my wife pottering around with gardening, break to top of a cold beer. You get the idea.

Ant.

Ant that sounds like a plan.. Roll on Summertime can't wait.

Normally about 1 hour - but these days about 2 hours as I end up 'waxing' and polishing the windows and chrome work.

And that's not including behind the wheels, cleaning the door hinges, under bonnet, dressing the plastic and wheels, cleaning the exhaust.

Before I was married it was about 4-5 hours.

Yeah getting into the door shuts it's a necessary evil, I've yet to tackle the door hinges but I can see they need doing.
Under the engine bay isn't on my list to do, my car was 9 years old when I got it so its 9yrs dirty and I've never bothered with that part of the car tbh.
Btw just bought a wax to use, Farecla G3 SuperGloss paste wax with free Applicator pad :)
£26 in Halfords or £20 on the Bay :)

What part ? lol can be anything from 3hours upwards

Anything from an hour for a quick wash and dry to pretty much a day for a proper clean

I always tell the Mrs that I'm just popping out to vacuum the car and I'll be back in 10 minutes. Famous last words. I love washing / detailing my cards but I hate cleaning the equipment and putting it all neatly away.

lol

sort of the same here, she asks how long I'll say about 30 mins, and ends up 2 hrs :D

Removing tar spots... A good product? When to do this, before washing, before claying? Before polishing? Before waxing?

At which point to use a specific tar remover if needed or it doesn't matter.
These tar spots are on the roof! And Autoglym Super Resin Polish didn't make inroads into them as I would normally use. This is a 9 year old car but quite new to me.

After washing before claying. Polish after clay and wax after polish.

Autosmart Tardis or if not easily available to you Obsession Wax Purge (even smells nice).
