how many times do you clean your car

Today whilst the wife was doing her shopping i was admiring the car wash team cleaning cars, what i saw was shocking:eek: this chap actually stood on the bonnet to clean the roof of this land rover, i was too late to catch him:doh:
Was that before or after he dropped his mucky cloth on the ground then picked it up and continued to wipe across the bodywork without even rinsing it?

Every weekend (usually a Saturday), although that's been difficult as I ain't going out in the rain to do it and for the past month its rained just about everyday here.

Come on Spring, at least the rain is warmer!

Thats my concern with these places, plus a lot of the products used arent that clever either, do it myself or not at all..

Only used them once, during the hose pipe ban, never again

detailing a car, to me, is the equivalent of an over proud housewife or should I say house person these days - a car is a depreciating asset and should be treated as such - however each to their own - much rather see someone being overzealous with a car than being a hooligan - bit extreme but detailers and non detailers alike will know what I mean - my car gets cleaned the odd time - and when it rains of course!

I clean my car when it's dirty.

I think I need to clean it:

mine sits in the garage for a couple of weeks at a time then is brought out to play; gets used every day and sits on the drive till i get around to washing it; so once every 35 days sound about right...
i get the inside cleaned by the local hand-wash chappies about once a month as well.

Once every 2 weeks (Miglia 1000) do a great job

Hey I like you,I also clean mine after each outing and it goes to bed sparkling, wheels and body work looking like new.Went out today with vario roof down, wonderful, the roar of the pipes, superb along Southend sea front.I use Showroom shine from Greased Lightning,it is superb, car always looks like new.

I clean mine twice every day.

Do I win a prize?

Sorry I cleaned my car for real up to 3 times a day. I had a luxury driving company in Ibiza and charging €65 a drive meant that turning up in one that had any hint of being used that day was unacceptable.

I had the CLS just short of 3 years, I washed it 3 times (tbh it was washed every time it went to the stealers as well). I've had the C class 3 months and have yet to chuck a bucket over it (although, again the stealers have washed it once and my local Polski emporium have also had the pleasure once). The Landrover has not been washed for at least a year (by anyone) and is accumulating a lovely patina.
I have, quite recently aquired a jet wash so (maybe, just maybe) I will get the Merc presentable for summer this year (or maybe Andrzej will be getting another fiver :D).

Is the showroom shine easy to put on and off?

Hi yes this showroom shine is wonderful,I get it on the internet, just put it on with a microfibre cloth and then polish it off with a clean microfibre cloth and you will not believe the finish, comes up like new and so easy,I can do the whole of my SL350 in about 30 minutes or less.
