Just sold my Evo IX to the first person to view it:bannana:. So I am now looking at getting a MB, I have seen one I like and was wondering how much (if any!) discount I could get from a MB dealer on one of their approved used cars? How much haggling will they accept or do they just turn their noses up at you!

Also do Mercedes Benz employees get any % discount on approved used MB cars?

Thanks

Depends on the model, how much margin is in the car, is it the end of their quarter? etc. etc. etc.

I have found some dealers won't discount at all while others have knocked £3k off no problem, probably due to all the above.

Take a look at some of the posts on here about all sorts of problems with MB approved used cars bought at premium prices - then decide where to buy.

being an empolyee il like to think id get a good deal but havent had the chance yet, waiting for one of the company cars to come but most have a Vito being a Commercial dealer

Everything is open to negotiation. End of ''periods'' are good especially if the dealer is short of target sales.

End of November could be a good time if they have taken in a lot in part exchange against '60' plates and not making too many new sales. End of January could also be good after the rush to beat the VAT increase 04 January 2011 new sales.

They seem to have flexibility on giving you a good price when you are trading a vehicle in, but not so much on giving actual discount off the car itself. Not so useful for you I suppose, as you've already sold your Evo by the sounds of it...

I am sure you can always get 5% off, considering how much higher the asking price is at a main dealer to start off with
