How much do you pay for insurance

Well my car insurance is not due until the springtime, but my house insurance is at the start of January and is a pain as you are still getting over xmas, last year as Covid had put a damper on most things I found I had enough time to search for a better price for insuring my 3 bed detached bungalow,we are both retired so I suppose the place is occupied most of the time, but I was surprised last year that using comparrison sites I found a Quotemehappy premium that was £40 cheaper at £122,with no cuts to cover, unlimited cover for property ,£75,000 for contents ,loss of keys and the like and legal cover, and so I grabbed it,and so yesterday I got a quote from them in my inbox for next year, and with the same cover they want shock horror £88.10p all I can say is this company has lived up to it's name and made me happy,I believe it is Aviva insurance.

I'm also with Quotemehappy, and my annual policy just renewed with only an increase of 72 pence, which I was well happy with.

I also think we're in the territory of thread hijack ! Sorry ......

I used to be with quotemehappy. Claim experience was absolutely horrible and I ended up getting everything resolved myself. Had to email third party insurance co ceo and that got things moving. Never again going back to them. Hope you don’t have to claim

Had my 55 insured as a modern classic with Peter Best for almost a decade.

Renewal this year was up 40% for no apparent reason.

Hagerty quoted at 40% less than last year, so their getting my business

I'm with Admiral on a Multi-Car policy and my renewal came yesterday, it's gone up 35% !
I've been with them for a good few years so I phoned and asked them about it.
Apparently that's the way it is and they wouldn't budge on price. Thanks for your loyalty !
So shopped around and now the RAC are insuring me, but not on a multi-car policy.
I'm now paying £116 less than I paid Amiral last year.
It's a crazy world !

My insurance is due for renewal in 4 weeks time and will be the first time renewing with the A35 in my ownership. The Aviva renewal quote came in at £342.78 which I don't think is bad for a 32 year old with 9+ years NCD, no accidents etc. Just had an automatic quote in from confused.com and the cheapest they're offering is £542.57. I'll look at some other comparison sites but it looks like I'll be renewing with Aviva again. This would be the second time for me where the renewal has been cheaper than what any comparison site is offering.

Aviva always gave me the best price until I modified my car and then they didn't want to insure me so moved to LV who are happy with my mods.

What mods have you done?
Engine remap, changed the front grille and changed the colour of the wheels while I had them refurbed.

37, 9yrs ncd. Just did a prospective quote on comparison sites for the new glc... £1400 🤬

Current insurance for w177 is 480

I WILL be shopping around! 🙄
I had a similar renewal quote from Darwin Insurance brokers. £282 last year, this year £344.

Compare the Meerkat came in at £262 with 1st Direct who I have insured with before, with the same options as Darwin.
That's me sorted until Sept next year.

Got my Hastings multi-car renewal through for my S204 and Sue's Kia (postcode PR2)

Pleasantly surprised that it has actually gone DOWN from £567.21 to £565.99! Did the normal round of comparison and arrived at £3 more expensive insuring them separately

SLK250cdi 2015
64 years old, 20 years plus no claims.
Parked on driveway, wife as named driver.
£270 fully comp.
Crikey, my Audi A7 3.0 TDi was only £240 a year!

Insurance on the SL has gone up this year 25% due to a SP30. 😡

Had protected insurance for 3 years with Saga, full comp, their top flight insurance at just under 300 quid. By "protected" I mean the amount stayed the same as long as there were no changes to our circumstances. It ends in about , just under 4 weeks - new quote almost 800 - my excess
is 500 total. One minor accident, hit and round by uninsured driver, cosmetic damage, I did tell ins but not requiring repair as I will hand polish it out/

Arriva, like for like about 700

I will call Saga today - for better price may move to one tier below their top insurance and not have the three year protect amount

We live in greater London, crime rate is better than most of London - car parked on drive - decent location - full clean licence and over 30 years NCD etc etc and never had a point on my licence not mrs - joint insurance we are both early 60's, retired
