I’ve got my first car! Can you give me some ideas on what accessories I should add?

I use A-Plan Insurance 01635 874646
They do Excellent rates for young drivers.
Plus modified and classics/ motorcycles etc.

Welcome to the group, and i have to say that is a great car to have as your first car!
I would definitely not be lowering it, or changing the exhaust for one the size of a small tunnel !
Larger Merc wheels would look good ( price of tyres will increase though ) ....
Definitely lots of polishing, detailing and general looking after will certainly make the car look great .....

But i am not 17 ..... But had this when i was 20 !! Vert tasteful and understated ...... NOT! And yes it did have two scaffold poles as an exhaust system !! What a great way to stay single

Based on the kids of folks I know you might not be able to get insurance on that (some are paying four figures for litre Corsa's and Fiestas!!!.........times have changed though.......I had a 3 litre V6 Capri when I was 18 (second car after my 12.3l Mk2 Escort).....cost me £140 per year to insure it TPFT only!!....sound cheap but it was a fair bit for me in 1985 with what I was earning!!
The rust got it....so I put the engine in another 1.3L Mk2 Escort...great fun!!

Lovely old beasty!....with a great sound.....assuming it was a V8....

Yes it was, I couldn't really afford to eat and run this car ...... I was very skinny when i was young ....... and single!
The insurance was around £240 per year, which was around the same as the 1976 V12 Daimler i had for 6 months prior, now that was a thirsty beast!
I did over 200,000 miles in the Pontiac, until the first Mrs PC made me sell it ( She would not go in it ) ....
Capri 3.0 V6, Now that was a car i really wanted but oddly enough i never found one that was either straight or running correctly ( And i helped out on weekends at an American car importer ..... No brainer really )
The Camaro in the photo was also mine
