Seems the Ssang Yong W124 was built rght up to 2008 as the "Chairman"!! Take a look at this from Wikipedia SsangYong Chairman - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It sits on a W124 platform and is styled to look like a 221 Might not rush to buy it...

that is correct, my friend has an R reg W124 coupe, it got the plate from the year it was imported to the UK

My 98 S-reg Smart was reg'd here in 99 so would have been a V-reg. They should be given the reg according to year of 1st reg from wherever it's imported from!

It does not always happen but it is certainly what happened in this case.

The latest W124 i've seen was registered on a Y reg. As above, imports normally.
