Whether he was in the wrong lane or not ,..it was hardly a hanging offence .
I went through a similar thing myself a while back , police pulled me and my mrs over and told me i was speeding , he said i was doing over the 40 speed limit and said it had took him 2 miles to catch me up in his ford focus, road side all 5ft of him was bouncing and shouting at me , telling me i was being done for this/that and the other .
I asked him how he know i was speeding as he had no timing gear in the car ?
I also pointed out he was on his own and i knew my rights , this made him worse and he then pulled out his pocket book saying i had to sign to a statement he was about to write down , i said no chance as i couldnt understand his writing and it was 9pm at night and dark,he said but everyone has to sign , i said not me mate , he said he would report me and see me in court , i said good luck with that and have a nice evening officer
That was 4 months ago ...good job i didnt sign nothing hay
The majority of police are self centred ,stiff necked ,bent **** holes on a power trip ,ask anyone thats had any dealings with them road side and i guarantee you that the majority of the feedback will be negative.
The good old days of personal discretion are gone, they cant wait to stick their chest out and give you that on the spot fine or three points regardless of circumstance..and when they they have done this watch the spring in their step as they walk away, you can see they feel they have achieved
