Strikes me as a sad state of affairs if police, council etc won't respond to parking in/across driveways but turn up immediately when owner complains of it being moved.

Hi,
Just phone the police and say you saw somebody getting out of a parked car - carrying a backpack with what looked like some wires coming out of it and carrying what looked like a handgun.
Note the "what looked like"!
I am sure they would be swarming over the car in this instance!

This reminds me of something one of the mates was telling me last week.

His elderly mum & dad don't drive and his dad passed away a bit back.

Whenever he visits mum there is a large 4x4 from the semi next door outside mum's window meaning when he parks he is across the next house downs drive.
He politely asked them if they could park across there own window/drive so that he could get somewhere to park when visiting.
Was told they pay their tax and its the road so they will park wherever they like.

So what did he do, he went out and bought a little car for a few hundred quid, insured and taxed this, waited till they were out then drove it and parked it outside their window, priceless.

Gosh. A lot of effort to prove a point. However he is using the same argument as they did to him, sonitnis very clever.

I bet the neighbours were really unhappy. Lol.

I have a similar problem at my business premises. I find that an official-looking warning notice, inside a nice big sticky "Documents Enclosed" envelope on the windscreen works wonders.

That may be a lot to do with the glue on those documents envelopes being particularly difficult to remove from anything.

This happened to me when I lived in Cambridge down Huntingdon Road, front of the house straight onto the road with a garage round the back.

Got up one morning to find a corsa parked across the garage doors so left a note on the window and used the motorbike instead of the van. Came home from work and it was still there and it stayed there for 3 days. On the 4th day we jacked it up and put it on 4 machine mover rollers and pushed it sideways onto the other side the road with double yellow lines. It then sat there for another 2 weeks collecting parking tickets before it dissapeared.
