Infuriating Motorway Madness (Please do not read if you find my posts offensive)

Day 2 in the life of Ian the Engineer

This morning Ian the Engineer left home 15 minutes earlier than usual just in case he encountered any of those silly drivers that still had problems with their eyesight. Taking the same route as yesterday the A1/M62 intersection approached and MPG is 58.1 life is good this week :thumb:

Ian the engineer proceeds onwards to the M1/M62 junction where there is a short stretch of 50 mph roadworks, traffic is flowing freely progress is good. then into the new stretch of managed motorway, traffic is flowing well and Ian the engineer thinks all those Billy Sugars must have stayed at home today:thumb: Then he realises Mr Highways Agency has got off his pork fat posterior put two bob in the meter and all of a sudden the M62 looks like Blackpool Illuminations, Ian the engineer thinks I wish I sold LED's for a living :D

So we start at 60 mph, drop down to 50 mph and then to 40 mph before going back up to the NSL, but to Ian the engineers surprise it worked and the traffic kept flowing. Ian the engineer did todays journey in 42 minutes and is well content with himself :D

So for the first time in 2 years Ian the engineer has made his commute without stopping and getting held upon the motorway, so tonight he's going to celebrate with a few pigs ears and a ruby.

Well done all you that work for Specsavers but I bet the overtime bill yesterday was horrendous, our nations eyesight has been restored and traffic is flowing again

Interesting that engineers seem often to drive either Mercedes-Benz or Volvo cars ....

Just an observation .

And as a way of thanking Specsavers I hope you'll be enjoying those pigs ears out of large glasses.
