It does worry me if I ever get negative feedback on the forums. All it takes is just one post or thread to ruin my reputation.
Is it worth the risk?
Sadly , that did happen over on the MBOC forum , when Olly joined and had only posted a few times .
To my regret , I was party to the criticisms that Olly received from a number of established members .
The matter was nothing to do with Olly's servicing business , but an established member had arranged to go and see a 190E that was for sale privately - due to illness , Olly had to cancel but because of a breakdown in communication ( text message which was not received ) the prospective buyer travelled a fair distance and had a wasted trip .
This gave rise to a somewhat heated debate on the forum , with Olly being the 'new boy' that no one knew coming off worst as most everyone , myself included , took the side of the established member ( I now can't even remember who it was ) .
For what part I played in it , I offer my belated apologies , but I know Olly left that forum and never returned , so only those who are members of both forums/clubs will know he is not some sort of dodgy character as that one thread must have made him seem .
