Hi, do any members have any experience or recommendations for a indoor car cover? I work anyway from home sometimes and the C63 will be parked in the garage when am away. Have been looking @ Specialised car covers & CoverCraft Europe tan flannel covers. I've heard a few horror stories with people using indoor car covers. Like when they finally remove them after a period of time the condensation under the cover has damaged the paint or has rubbed the paint off on the corners off a spoiler etc. Any info or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Eddie:thumb:

I've used a lightweight cotton one on the SL for nearly 10 years without any problems at all. It was fairly cheap - bought on eBay IIRC.

Outdoor covers are far more critical in terms of fit and finish, and breatheability. I used a CoverCraft Noah one on the SL before I had a garage. That was excellent - I'm sure their indoor covers would be top quality too.

An indoor cover will not be water proof, therefore will not have problems with condensation, neither will it move in the wind and rub on paint work. On the other hand...do you really need a cover inside a garage?

In a well ventilated garage the car can get a fair amount of dust/dirt deposited on it, particularly when it's windy outside. I don't bother with the cover if the car is due a wash though :)

When my wife still drove, we had an imaculate W203, which spent a lot of the time in my old drafty garage (at lease it was fairly watertight), using her Vectra hatchback for most of the daily chores.

I got a couple of indoor covers (they were not big enough to cover all the car) that were selling at the time in Aldi (cheap as chips). Never had any problems and kept all the dust off the car.
