Guys

is there a way to tell the ECU that the air filters/ fuel filter has been changed without connecting to star?

Thx

Steve

It'll relearn on it's own.The clean filter will mean less vacuum on the inlet so slightly greater air density which will raise the air to fuel ratio. The MAF and lambda sensor will spot that it's running a bit lean now and compensate.

You can reset the ECU to force it to relearn everything straight away but I wouldn't bother with that.

Thanks. I'd noticed the fuel economy going a bit crappy and its takes a few seconds to start after its been left a while so hopefully its just blocked filters

I have done the air filters several times since I've owned my car, the filters never seem to last the quoted service interval and tend to get heavily clogged at the lower end of the filter as I guess it's where the air gets drawn in. I have reset the ECU using a friends STAR each time the filters have been changed on the advice of techs on this forum.
