infrared remote locking control

HELP NEEDED!!!! on my 91 sl I can lock the car with the key but the remote locking wont work by pressing the key fob.If I put the ignigtion switch in poss.. 2 then the remote works with the key fob, I've been told to disconnect the multi pin sockets to the modules in the boot and clean contacts, HAS ANYONE DISCONNECTED THESE BEFORE because I cant get them off

are you sure your key works or if it just need to be syncronised? you can check the key with a mobile camera and press the button on the key

HI, LARS-MAD. again thanks for your reply, ive tried your suggestions,and the problem still here,{mobile camera show key fobs transmitting a signal,and ive syncronised the keys as instructed by owner manual]

try to disconnect the ir central unit and clean the connections there or it might be a fuse in the fuse box needs to be changed due to corrotion

HI. Lars-mad,fuses are all ok, ive tried to disconnect the 2 multi connector thats attach to infrared radio controll and 2 a little white box,but i cant figure how to get these connection off?{out} stoneage
