Hi,

I've search the threads but can't seem to find an answer.

I have a W209 CLK 2005. I have retro fitted a Comand unit from a 2007 car (A209 870 35 89, widescreen display). No telephone pre-wiring.

I want to install a parrot Ck3100. If I just purchase the Parott will it connect directly on the Comand using the cables provided or will i have to buy another cable. I would like it to mute the stereo and use the speakers.

TIA

Tal

I have fitted this in my W208 CLK with no Comand, but the principle should apply

It fits in line onto the A&B connectors, and there are some options to switch some wires around depending on the pin positions of your permanent and switched wired feeds.

If you have nothing in your B connector, then it is likely that you have digital bose or HK then you have a bigger issue, and it will likely not work.

Not 100% but i think you will need a sml loom for the sound to come from your car speakers due to the comand unit.

Priced around £40

If you go for the next parrot model up the one with the larger screen it has a built in microphone which save that extra cable.

I fitted one (3100) in my wifes car and it was great , tried to refit it in her new car and becasue it needed the link cable i just couldnt find anywhere for all the cabling to go and didnt want to hack around the dash

I fitted the 3100 into my CLK 208 with comand and it just plugged in. I have the bose speaker system as well. It mutes the stereo and plays through the car speakers. Just plug and play for me.
