I need a new instrument cluster for my 2002 W210 320CDI.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to source a new unit?

I recall being told that I will need to visit my MB dealer to have the mileage etc, transferred from the old unit to the new unit. Does anyone have an idea what the time/cost would be for this?

Thanks in advance.

Paul.

The issue i think you may face is that its hard to find a new instrument cluster, on top of that it needs to be right for your car as im sure there are a few different clusters with different part numbers even though they may look the same.

A very quick search on ebay shows this to be the only new one :

MERCEDES E CLASS 210 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEW A2105401548 on eBay (end time 04-Mar-10 14:52:35 GMT)

But it wont fit your one unfortunately. There may be more on there so have a good look. I did a quick search!

A used second hand one would be ok i think but the biggest problem may be that the dealership may not let you or agree to coding a used cluster to your car even though they can, im quite certain.

They will insist on you supplying or purchasing a new cluster from them.

Someone with a bit more knowledge may be of help. What is wrong with your current cluster Paul?

Thanks Momomo,

It had the dreaded pixel failure and yesterday was the long awaited attempt at fixing the fault. I fixed it allright..

Nick at Euromerc had some new ones a while ago but I can't see the one I need on his site at the moment - sent him an email and I live in hope he still has one.

I wouldn't really want to go for a used unit in case it failed in the near future.

I'll keep looking around (thanks for the ebay link) and see what transpires.

I will not be paying the dealer price for a new one though.

Regards,

Paul.

Send it to Cluster Repairs in Great Yarmouth/Lowestoft. Had my clock and temperature display renewed. No coding required

What is the part number. I maybe able to get a new one for half price.

yes Star will be needed.

Can I have your chassis number to double check number.

I still need a new or used cluster if anyone knows where I might get one.

Part number: A210 540 30 11.

TIA.

Paul.

Thanks Jay.

I think it was maybe beyond repair as the centre lcd display had a small crack in the screen. I managed to source a used one for £100 which is being reprogrammed with mileage etc.

Cheers,

Paul.

Solved.

SOLVED.

I have a used cluster, programmed and installed. Works perfectly. :thumb:
