Great result.Got the C63s today tesco dropped the price by 35% but SAGA went 1 better and halfed last year's premiumwin win
That's very nieceMy Sister's daughters has dropped by £2500 agreed its only the 2nd year she's been driving but where do they get those price's from![]()
I’m hearing quite significant reductions at renewal across the board. Not scientific but it feels like generally insurance costs are probably back to being where they would have been now, had we not seen two years of hikes.Shocked, stunned and not a little amazed.
Renewal notice for the BMW came through from SAGA this morning.
Last year £398.35. This year...£270.63
That'll do me, ta very much.
That does seem to be the general word on the street.I’m hearing quite significant reductions at renewal across the board. Not scientific but it feels like generally insurance costs are probably back to being where they would have been now, had we not seen two years of hikes.

Why? would be my question.
Just tell them you are leaving and see what they do....I do that most years if the increase is too much......they usually play ball. I've been with the same company for about 20 years and never claimed a penny.....Id like to think that I'm not the sort of customer they would want to lose....easy money for them!! I have car NCB since 1987 and bike NCB since 1988!!Bloody typical, mine has increased by about £100, I can save £200 by moving provider.
It's not the first time that Aviva have done this either.
I had been preparing myself to do the "gocompare the meerkat" thing. Pleased I don't have to in this instance. I must admit I binned Aviva for the very same reason. Yep, I could have called them and probably got a better deal, but if they can do a better deal, if they really want my business, why should I have to go chasing them for it?Bloody typical, mine has increased by about £100, I can save £200 by moving provider.

Good point, succinctly madeWho cares.![]()

Just a business trying to make a profit....cant say I blame them......lots will just renew without questioning the price. I guess it must pay for them to do it that way (retain more and gain more punters than they lose).....or they wouldn't do it.
I'd have agreed with you, but I recently got the renewal for our little Alfa Mito. It dropped from £230 ish to £147 this year. Admittedly I've gone to 3 years NCD (I retired 3 years ago former company car driver), but I shopped around and couldn't beat the renewal price from Aviva. And yet they still try it on nearly every year. No loyalty to you whatsoever.
But it's the same with everything, not just insurance.![]()
Two cars, house and travel insurance with admiral for 10+ years and they were always accommodating to make sure we had a good price and would stay with them. This year the total premium was increased by over £600 (no claims or changes in circumstances) while others were reporting theirs to be falling. No movement possible so I’ve ended up having each element insured separately, still with Admiral for travel. Disappointing as I liked the one-stop shop. We've had our Admiral renewal come through this morning. £227 for mine and £229 for his. He then changed the employment status to retired and it added £14.98 to mine!. His didn't change. Rang up and spoke to a human who was great and said it was because my E250 had more power than his CLS220. We upped the level of legal cover and injury cover and it we got a bigger discount. We also have our House insurance with them. Overall quite pleased.
