That said, my quote was a tenner cheaper with elephant.

Elephant wanted nearly£1,000 to insure my 1988 300d as a second car with restricted milage.

Elephant charge me £750 for my CLK500, £300 for the MGF and £500 for the girlfriends 2.2 vectra thingy....They gave me 65% NC on all cars and the girlfriend can drive any of them and she's 23...

Yes - Admiral gave an discount for two cars. After all, it is fair to assume that if you're driving one, the other is doing less miles (therefore less risk).

I'm aware Admiral is twinned with Elephant etc, so didn't try them. Policy terms may differ slightly if the prices are different?

Never base your Quote on what the online Quote says, call them aswell

Both times with elephant the have called me and actually given a better price over the phone

I must agree that calling them can mean big savings.... I have also found that even if they still seem good value compared to other quotes tell them that you expected it for less considering xyz reasons and that they are Elephant renowned for a high quality low cost service, etc... They usually reduce it even further as they know the ways around the system!
