It's about £700 with aviva, that's what I expected as only 2 years n/c for this car, the SL55 has 9 years on it and costs £500.

Thought I'd try Flux as they advertise so much - £2k lol

Admiral multicar might be worth a go, will try that Wednesday.

Since we moved to Birkenhead the increase has been very noticeable, not worth moving back for but still a surprise.

Who is the SL insured with? Will they offer a second car on a decent rate?

I've always thought this ncb per vehicle odd, you can only drive one at a time and it's your history it's rated on.

Try Primo PLC, there multi car policy saves me a fortune.

I am with Admiral,:thumb: £540 fully comp for CL600 and a Suzuki Grand Vitara.
But then I am ?.,old with a clean licence.

Another vote for Admiral. The SL, a Skoda Octavia, and a Honda Civic for a teenager, all for £1070.

I'm with admiral. cl55 amg and clk200 for £1200. I'm 24, clean license and 5yr no claims.. and my girlfriend is 22, clean licence, a years no claims and a crash a year and a half ago. That's with both of us insured on both cars.

21yo daughter (policyholder with me and Mrs. LTD as named drivers) with a Mk5 Golf and my S500 (both my wife and I insured to drive the Merc).

Under £1000 for both of us.

Mrs. LTD had her old car on the policy as well but we recently traded that in for a new VW Polo that came with a year's insurance as part of the deal. We actually got a refund from Admiral on the policy when we removed her car despite the shift in discount weightings.

I would of thought Liverpool would of been much more expensive than Birkenhead, unless you've moved to the north end of Birko?

Don't laugh -- try Sainsbury's!! Great deal on insuring the CLK55 . . .

try sky insurance,
they have always quoted me a good price when i had an audi a4,

I've always been with Bell, I built up my 5 years NCB with them, and then this year they wanted $1800 and I paid $1500 last year. When I phoned to ask the reason for the increase they said it's because I had a non-fault claim.

Needless to say I was fuming with it being NON-FAULT, they claimed all their expenses from the third party, and it wasn't my wreckless driving! Infact my car was bumped into while it was parked in a car park and I wasn't even in the vehicle.

Anyway, I am now with Churchill, just under $1000. Saved myself a packet by shopping around.

....

interesting....SO WHY I MUST PAY SO MUCH GYUS?
cls 320cdi
aviva quote: 4000! first i thought its bad joke...
admiral quote: 2800
strange companies from gibraltar from 1400 with 3000excess
best so far Churchill 1570 with 500excess
33yrs young
15yrs driving licence
3yrs ncb...but never ever accident or claim (just couldnt transfer ncb from overseas)
3pts CU80 2008!
Doing 70k miles a year with my truck and I'm risky driver???
Probably London postcode is a problem?
But its still far too much.....

That's right, your postcode has a LOT to do with your premium.

Bloody Hell Ludos.

You would be fined less for not insuring ....

well like a mug I stayed with the same broker for years, but looking at a good hike the wife looked around.

Saga, came in at a decent rate..

But cheap insurance is noit all it is cracked up to be, you do want them to help when you have a genuine claim.

liverpool victoria;
355 quid for me and the mrs fully comp, no voluntary excess :_)

...

I get qoute from onequotedirect for 1320, fully comp+ ADAC brakedown cover, free full EU cover up to 90days...
but can some1 explain to me wtf this means, because it doesnt make any sence to me :
'your no claim bonus is not used with insurance on other car'....
I've got my second car, so my NCB is 'used'...

And what if I need insure my 'new' second car just days b4 my NCB will reach another year? I will lose that year? It means if I'm changing cars every 11month, I will not have any NCB even after 20yrs with no claim???
(I cant stay with one insurance company for silly prices reason)

£480 fully comp for CLS and Saab with Admiral Multicar.
Not bad I reckon.. :)
