Insuring the CL

Ludo if you know what 2nd car you are getting, you can get a quote for both cars from a company that does "Multi-car" policies, such as Admiral. This way, you can use your No Claims Bonus on both vehicles. Otherwise you will have to start building your no claims bonus again on the 2nd car.

I did never any claim, so WHY i have to 'build' NCB for second car????
This silly rules are made only to get money from people....BAD POINT ENGLAND!

It's odd how a company that's reasonable for one person is dear for another, and vice versa.

Did my youngest daughter's today and have always struggled to get a really good premium for her - her car, Mitsubishi Colt, seems dearer to insure than other similar superminis, her NHS job is a bit dearer than her teacher sister, she lives in the main part of town, rather than outside it. These little things all conspire together to more or less double her premium compared to her sister. LV, who are good for the rest of the family, are way out for her.

....

my friend is living in Chicago/usa and pay 560dolars/year full insurance for his mercedes...England is some kind of special country? I dont think so!!!

Insured the SL today with 8 years Ncb it was £712 - up £100

It's literally the price I have to pay for living near a very black spot of Birkenhead

Nothing I can do but accept it

I recenty got my insurance on a CL500, 6 points, 2yr NCB, 28 10+ years on the road, renewal quote was £1200, average on the comparison site £1400, best broker deal £1100 and just as i was about to give up i went to Aviva, £747 fully comp. very chuffed with the deal, thats one heck of a saving that allows me to keep my motor on the road and avoid having to sell it! plus got a £50 money back deal (although will take months before i see it back) from a website - happy to refer people if they pm on their deets!
